Tradesman & DIY enthusiasts take note

The Pacific Tsunami, which occurred following the earthquake on September 30th 2009 left thousands homeless and over 180 people dead. A major project (known as Project Samoa Hope) involving the rebuilding of 275 fales, has been facilitated by Habitat for Humanity (HFH). This project has received significant funding from the New Zealand Government and is being undertaken in partnership with the Samoan Government.

The Anglican Missions Board has decided that it will utilise up to $12,000 of the Tsunami appeal funds to assist Anglican Parishioners who wish to be part of the rebuild programme. The assistance is in the form of a $240 grant, which will be paid upon acceptance by HFH of you onto a rebuild team and subsequent verification by your Parish Priest that you are a member of an Anglican parish.
Provisional approval can be made before application is made to HFH upon completion of the application form. However payment will only be made once you have been accepted by HFH.
If you wish to apply for the Rebuild Samoa Anglican Volunteer Grant please complete the application form, print it and get it signed by your Priest. It can then be posted or scanned and emailed to Anglican Missions. As current funding is limited to $12,000 or 50 grants please contact Anglican Missions to express your interest in the grant as soon as possible.
Please note you must be aged 18 years or older to participate as a member of an HFH Rebuild team.
