2010 Stamp Project
Outboard Motor for the Diocese of Polynesia
As the total amount has been received, the extra money will go into general funds for missions until it can be allocated to an appropriate project. A major one off sale of stamps has been made to boost the amount raised for this year. Click here to read the announcement!
In 2010 Anglican Missions is using the money raised from the sale of stamps to fund an Outboard Motor for the Diocese of Polynesia.
This will cost approximately NZ$5000.
Vunirara is in the coastal area of Labasa in the Vanua Levu & Taveuni Episcopal unit. The clergy in this worship centre travel the coastal area to visit three other centres where there are parishioners living in the copra estates. Purchase of an outboard engine for a boat will make it easier to travel.
Currently they pay FJ$120 per boat trip for the priest to visit the different areas.
TARGET: $5000
TOTAL: $12,765
(as of 6/9/2010)
Stamps can be donated to Anglican Missions.
Please send them to:

Want to help us prepare the stamps for sale?
If you don’t have the time to sort or trim the stamps for us, we are happy to take them just as they are.
You can help us by sorting the stamps into these four categories:
- NZ on paper
- Foreign on paper
- NZ soaked off paper
- Foreign soaked off paper
If you have the time you can also help by trimming the stamps. Please leave 3mm (about ¼ inch) of paper around the stamp – any more paper than that we have to re-trim them as they are sold by weight! If you cut less than this you risk cutting off the perforations which will mean we have to discard it.
If a stamp is damaged in any way, it should be discarded! (pen-marks, heavy postmarks, staple impressions, torn, bent, corners missing or any perforations missing – throw them out!)
Previous Years: 2009
In 2009 Anglican Missions raised a total of $7,076.97 from the sale of used stamps making it a record year. Stamps were sold to dealers and through TradeMe throughout the year.
